Account Safety#
PilotPoster posts through your real Facebook account using the Chrome extension. Facebook watches for automated behavior. These practices help you stay within normal usage patterns.
Sleep between posts#
The most important setting. When posting to multiple groups, always set a sleep interval of at least 3 minutes between each post.
| Risk level | Sleep interval | Group count |
|---|---|---|
| Low | 3 to 5 min | 1 to 5 groups |
| Medium | 5 to 10 min | 6 to 15 groups |
| High | 10 to 15 min | 16+ groups |
Never post to 10+ groups with zero sleep interval.
Start small#
- Week 1: 1 to 2 groups, text-only posts
- Week 2: 3 to 5 groups with spintax
- Week 3+: larger lists with full sleep intervals
Accounts that jump from zero automated posts to 50 groups overnight get flagged faster.
Vary your content#
Use spintax and AI customization so groups do not all get identical text. Facebook detects duplicate content posted across many groups in a short window.
Respect group rules#
Some groups ban promotional posts entirely. Posting against group rules leads to:
- Post removal by admins
- Getting banned from the group
- Reports that can affect your account standing
Review each group's rules before adding it to a campaign.
What to watch for#
Signs that Facebook may be limiting your account:
- Posts failing with rate limit errors
- Posts stuck in pending approval longer than usual
- Temporary blocks on posting or commenting
- Warnings in Facebook's notification center
If Facebook restricts your account#
- Stop all campaigns immediately
- Pause RSS campaigns if any are running
- Wait 48 to 72 hours before posting again
- Resume with 1 to 2 groups and long sleep intervals
- Review recent post text for anything that looks spammy
- Lower your group count and increase sleep intervals
[!safety] Do not create a new Facebook account to bypass restrictions. Facebook links accounts by device, IP, and behavior patterns. A new account will likely get restricted too.
Auto first comment safety#
Keep comment delays at 5+ minutes. Instant comments on your own posts look automated. Use spintax in comments too.
RSS campaign safety#
Feeds that publish many items quickly can trigger a burst of posts. Pause RSS campaigns if a feed publishes more than 2 to 3 items in an hour.
